BUFF N REAPS SKINNING UP GUIDE
The Art of Skinning up
The art of skinning will not become apparent at first, but with practice and persistence you will eventually see that rolling a 'Perfect' joint demands much more attention than merely 'rolling some paper'.
Hmmm what to smoke?
Smoking Hashish (Puff or Draw)) will give u a gentle high, more a feeling of mellowness and sudden moments of inspiration.
Smoking Cannabis Leaves (Weed) will most definitely give u more of a head buzz and also affect your nervous system, making your vision impaired and it also has some Hallucinogenic properties.
Smoking Cannabis Buds (Skunk) is the most potent kind of smoke apart from Smack. Skunk brought about the term 'Blurtup' as it causes a lot of people to white out or 'Pull a Whitey'. (To suddenly be overcome with the effects of the skunk and have to sit or lye down to stop themselves from becoming quite ill). Watching someone 'white out' is always funny to see. Skunk seriously effects your vision and often causes some form of paralysis where u can't get up by your own accord. Skunk often makes people rant on about gibberish and bollocks and generally bore the shit outta you. Skunk is merely Weed……with about 5 times the amount of side effects. Skunk, for me, is the only smoke to have. But if your funds don't allow Weed or Hash is a good substitute.
Smoking 'Charlie' Joints is a good after club/party smoke. It consists of tobacco lying the bed of the joint and good helping of Cocaine sprinkled on top of the tobacco then roll as normal. After rolling the joint u MUST gently heat the joint so that the powdered Charlie (Cocaine) does not clump together when u smoke it, gently put a flame to all of the joint, making sure you don't set light to it. You can also pop it in the microwave, but I would advise using a naked flame to heat it up.

OK, so you've got yourself some Illegal Substances, so what's next?
You have to first decide what kind of paper's u will be using. Normally when u first start rolling, its better to start with thicker skins (Papers), as it is easier to roll with these. The only size u should really ever buy is King-size Skins, unless u are in dire straits, regular skins will do but demand more time on making the frame (actual joint casing, made from papers) for your joint, and can also be very tricky. When u are confident with rolling a joint you should then convert to using the thinner papers available, these enhance the smoke due to there being less paper to smoke, but are more difficult to roll with. There also papers called 'Rips', this is one continuous paper in a box which you can pull out to your desired length, then tear off. These are often used when rolling Long joints, as it is much quicker to simply rip off some paper rather than building a time consuming frame. But these papers are on the thickish side, and I personally prefer to make a frame from thin papers rather than using 'Rips'
Now you have to make a choice on what type of Tobacco you will be using with your Substance. Remember the cheaper the Cigarette, the more likely it is that the joint will 'hack u up'. Buying a better brand or more expensive cigarette will most definitely make the smoke go down smoothly. You should also avoid buying 'Lights' in any brand; these tend to make the joint taste funny.
After you have selected your cigarettes, it's now time to get some tools ready. Firstly u need a 'Rack', this rack will support your frame whilst you are adding all your ingredients to the joint, using the flap on the rolling papers box normally does the trick. Secondly you need what we call a 'Pokey'. This tool is one of the most important tools when making a joint. It is used for poking down the ends of a joint, to tidy up appearance and also make way for a 'roach' (like a filter, to stop the end of your joint you put your lips to, from collapsing). The most used item for a 'Pokey' is the wheels from a 'Clipper Lighter', but anything from a thin pencil to a scrap piece of metal will do.

….Building the frame
Now depending on your level of skill at rolling a joint, there are many ways to roll a joint. Some are longer than others and some are fatter than others.
'1 skin' : Everyone should start with the very obvious and easy '1 Skin' which is simply just one paper that u roll. These joints are really only good for when u are on your own or u don't really want to share your joint with anyone.
'King L' : This is a more difficult joint to roll, as it consists of 2 papers, 1 laid horizontal and one set at a 25 Degree angle from the vertical on the very end of the horizontal joint, of course remembering to keep the gummed sides at the top of the frame. U must also tear off any remaining paper that has over lapped the bottom of the horizontal paper; you want a uniform line going across the bottom of your frame.
'2 Skin' / '3 skin' : This is more of a Show off joint. Theses are mostly rolled on a weekend when many people are cotching round a mate's house and someone decides to impress everyone with their rolling skills. These joints are simply 2 or 3 skins glued next to each other in a horizontal line. The hardest part of rolling a 2 skin or a 3 skin is the gluing of the skins together. As you can see when you look at one of your skins, there is only glue at the topside of it. To glue the skins together u must use a 3rd or 4th skin and use the glue from that.
1. Fold the excess skin in half so that the glued side is on both sides.
2. Place your 2 skins that are going into the frame side by side, slightly overlapping.
3. You must now lick your excess skin on both side of the gum, slowly insert this skin in-between your 2 skins from the frame.
4. Leave it there for about 6 - 8 seconds and slowly remove it.
5. You should have left enough residue of glue there to stick your 2 skins together.
6. Repeat if necessary.
If you are rolling with King Size papers or 'Rips', sometimes it is necessary to tear a small strip off the bottom of the paper, to make it easier to roll the joint. The reason for this is because having less paper enhances the smoke as well making it quicker and easier to roll (Not so much excess paper).
There are many more frames you can make for your joints, but some are far too complicated, even for me, and I've been rolling for many years now.

….The actual rolling of the joint
No matter what type of frame you make for your joint, the concept of rolling it, is the same. Depending on what frame you have chosen, there are different things to watch out for, which I will point out a bit later on.
Rolling a '1 Skin'
After u have put your mix of Drugz and tobacco in your frame, (I recommend ¾ of a cigarette in a '1Skin') you must smooth out your mix by rolling the joint, starting from the middle and working your way outwards to each end of the joint. After your mix is Uniform throughout the joint, it's now time for the dreaded 'Tuckover'; this is by far the hardest part of rolling ANY joint. This part of the roll is the most important, mess this bit up and your joint will only be so good. The idea is to get the paper to roll over and not crease (Creasing causes air pockets, which makes a joint taste rough on your throat). As well as not creasing the joint, you must also keep the joint firm and tight as a limp joint looks pathetic and also has too many air pockets in it. I personally use the 'Pincers' method. Put your 2 forefingers into a scissors shape and pinch the paper together just above where the mix finishes. Once your have a good 'pinch' fold the joint over, keeping it tight.
After u have successfully tucked the paper over, you must now slowly roll the joint upward towards the gummed part of the paper, remembering to keep the joint firm and UN-creased. When u get towards the gummed strip, you should be rolling at a slight angle, with the Side you will put your lips to when u are gonna smoke the joint, reaching the gummed strip first. The reason for this is so that when you lick the gummed strip, you do not have to lick the whole gummed strip, just a bit at a time. By licking a bit of the gummed strip at a time and rolling it a bit more, will ensure a crisp roll. The other reason for this is that u want your joint to be slightly coned, this forces your joint to become slightly coned and makes it look a lot better.
'Finishing the end' : The end you will light can normally be tapped off by a simple twisting of the paper, but if twisted to hard can deform the end of a joint so go easy. One benefit from twisting the end is that the end of the joint becomes very compact and tight. Another method is to simply just fold the paper, thus keeping the shape of the joint but not compacting the end.
'Roaching' : Roaching is a necessary part of skinning up, it allows the flow of smoke and also stops any unwanted bits of tobacco or substance from entering your mouth. Some people roll their joint with the roach already in the frame, but I found this often makes the roach end on the thin side and hard to take a toke. So I roach after rolling a joint, I found this better due to the fact u can custom make the roach to fit exactly. To make a roach simply get a stiff piece of card, often the card from the Rolling papers box will do, and roll it round a thin pencil and insert into your joint carefully tucking any overlapping paper into the middle of the roach.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rolling a 'King L' : The same rolling technique is used as stated above. The main thing to remember when rolling a 'King L' is when u have rolled the straight part of the joint the angled side needs more attention due to the fact that u can make the cone shape TOO much. Thus ending up with a thin main body and an oversized cone at the end, which looks crap and also smokes crap.
Rolling a '2 or 3 Skin' : After building the frame the trickiest bit is to roll the joint with out having the middle of the joint fatter than the ends. Many times have I seen people attempt to roll these and end up with a joint that has a roach of about ¼ of an inch thick with the middle of the joint about 1 inch thick, then narrowing back down to ¼ of an inch at the end you are going to light. Most people keep there hands on the same part of the joint when they are rolling it, its imperative that you slide your hands along the length of the Joint to ensure a uniform joint. Otherwise you will be the laughing stock of your mates, after having rolled a cigar.
There you have it a quick guide for beginners. More to come, over the weeks ill bring u some Heavy joints, one coming up is called the 'Magic Carpet', and is gonna be an assured hit. Talking of hits, a Bongz section will soon be up, and a detailed description of how to smoke a bong properly and how to make them.
